Mike said: oh,no,you are wrong.I have found as below for this question(What's the best way to report restaurant manager for being Rude, In-consider),it will help you,my kids.
Question:
My name was on the waiting list for a table. I was by myself at this time, but I have been to this restaurant many times before. The manager is realativerly new. I waited approx. 20 min. I could see the list from a few feet away and I was next to receive a table. Three persons were seated ahead of me, I said nothing about it. Then two women were about to be seated, then I commented to the manager that I thought I was next. He stated in a few words that he had to accomodate the tables with those waiting. Another words, because I was alone I would tie up a four seat table and the numbers had to wait. To clarify what he was meaning, I pointed to a four seat table directly to his rear and ask. " Is that table too big for just me?" The manager would not give me a straight answer, so I asked him again if that table I spoke of earlier was too big for me, still no straight answer. I commented that I would notify someone about this. Rest. owned by the USDA Forest Service, NC.
Answer:
I have worked in a restaurant type career for 20 years. Either in mgmt or as a server/ hostess.
He obviously needs to work on his communication skills. Being a new manager, he may have been to busy to know how to properly deal with his wait. A single guest is just as important as a group of 10. An appropriate response would have been to take two minutes to tell you that they were working to have a table for you, make sure that you had something to drink and a comfortable place to sit. If the table was reserved, then it wouldn't be available on a wait.
A table that is open on a wait, is a false wait. That means they either didn't have competent staff to handle all the tables, or the kitchen was backed up. They should have seated you if it was your turn regardless of the size of the table. I wouldn't have seated you at a table for 5 or 6, but I would have met your needs.
Call and speak to a supervisor, or chef, and calmly tell them what happened, and what you saw as neglect. They need and will want to hear what their patrons are saying, if they are of repute.
