That's one of the problems causing childhood obesity. Parents are either too lazy to cook or the kids have 2 working parents, leaving less time to cook. What they don't realize is that there are so many options that are both easy and healthy. Make a few meals over the weekend and freeze them. Slow cookers are another option. What these parents are doing is causing so many future health problems for their kids. They need to teach their kids the correct way of eating. They also need to make sure the kids get some kind of excercise - just going outside to play is far better than allowing them to stay inside playing video games and watching TV. All of these things will help their children to be happier and healthier - now and in the long run.
This is not to say that kids should never, ever have McDonald's or any other unhealthy food. They should, however, keep it to a minimum - so these things are allowed occasionally as a special treat.
