When visiting a Cici's Pizza or a Cold Stone Icecreamery the staff is forced into singing or simultaneously screaming "Hi Welcome to ____" at you. I have never liked this. Has there been any research done on singing or screaming "hello" at customers? Do people actually like this?
Answer:
as a server i have always found it degrading and time consuming. you are forced to stop everything you are doing to sing some silly chant that bothers and embarrasses people. i have quit jobs because of this ridiculous policy.
