Wow, this is really weird...I go to school and live in Oshkosh, WI and I randomly saw your question. I eat out A LOT (too much actually), so maybe I can be of some assistance.

It is pretty because it's right on the water (you can sit outside if you want, plus the food, drink, and atmosphere are great. They usually have bands on the weekend nights, if you're interested, the the bar/lobby area...which, by the way, is really cool. If you like fish, the fish and chips are excellent! The chicken fingers are breaded in Captain Crunch cereal...different, but AMAZING!
If you like Mexican food, I recommend La Hacienda. I've tried just about every Mexican restaurant around here and this one is my favorite. Great food and it's cheap! And they sell alcoholic drinks, too. This is on Jackson, across from Pick 'N Save.
If you're wanting to spend a little more money, Kodak Jack's is amazing! With just about every entree, you get all you care to eat salad and soup bar, plus bread. The food is awesome...I highly recommend the prime rib...which you can get in all different sizes/prices. They have a HUGE bar, which is really cool. Ambiance is neat...kinda cabin/northern stuff. This place is right off of the highway, in the plaza next to the Super Wal-Mart.
