Well some people needs a bit of TLC when weekends arrive, Me and my partner don't do much socialiazing but we occassionaly have a few glass of vodka and coke in our home as we are saving for our new house in couple of weeks, sometime he'll have a few beers if he doesn't want vodka. We drink 4 - 5 glasses (tumberglasses) of vodka and coke, is that normal to have that much. Well im thinking of the future, will we both do more damage if we decided to try for a baby?Oh im against drinking if i was pregnant. But do you think we should cut down all together to keep our system in working order?
Answer:
That amount is not going to hurt your chances for reproduction in the future. As long as you are keeping it clean for at least 4 days out of the week you should be fine.
Don't bother cutting down - enjoy yourself!
obviously. Didn' you know that alcohol is a mild form of poison
I would say dnt worry that is a tiny amount id have that everyday
hi supergirl,
I think 4-5 vodkas a week isnt going to kill you off! Obviously if you try for a baby, you should try and cut right back, both of you.
i used to drink much more than this, and got severe health problems, liver damage, gall stones, jaundice etc etc, it really wasnt pretty.
LOL! You've had a drink haven't you?
but I think you're fairly safe with that sort of amount!:-)
Assuming you have a normal measure of vodka in your tumbler, your 4-5 glasses of vodka and coke is above the recommended daily allowance for women, so I would suggest drinking less of it or perhaps replacing the spirits with a less alcoholic drink - a white wine spritzer maybe. Do a 'google' search on 'RDA alcohol' for more info. Good luck with the new house!
I drink beer by the keg and whiskey by the gallon and I never had a problem.
from the age of 45 to 57 I drank one and a half bottles of scotch per day, sometimes, on good days, it would be two.
I went to the doc 6yrs ago and took a blood test. The test revealed that all organs were working normally, I couldn't believe it. From that day I have not touched a drop. My motto being retire whilst the going is good. It is very easy to drink too much, too easy, if you had seen the consequences I've
witnessed you would be sensible with your drinking. I have been lucky, but theres plenty more pushing up daisies
So you and your partner like to get a liitle lit on weekends. Who doesn't? Personally, I don't drink. There is no 'higher' moral or ethical reason. When I drink, I feel nauseous in very short order. Frequently, I don't even make it to the pleasant buzz. But I recognize that that is not a normal situation. Many of my associates have been known to blow 150 bucks every weekend on binge drinking. The body is designed to deal with these things. For many people, drinking provides the emotional outlet for routine stress. The problem comes in when the catharsis of binge and recovery is the focus. Do you and your partner find yourselves wrecked in the morning? A little grogginess after a night of drinking is to be expected, but a hangover is a sign that you have enough alcohol in your body to be damaging, even if only in the longer term. Under your current lifestyle, if you guys are just getting a little loose and having fun, and no one is sick the next day, who is harmed? Now, thinking about the future, if you feel there is issue with your lifestyle + baby, then there is. It is admirable to feel that you should live at a different (arguably higher) standard, upon becoming a parent. But as far as alcohol and babies, the risk for the father is minimal, while, as usual, the majority of the risk and responsibility will fall on mommy. If you are going to be trying for a baby, you may want to start changing your habits. The climate of your body before you actually become pregnant is every bit as important as it is durning the pregnancy. Would you plant flowers in soil contaminated with oil or poison, THEN clean up the area? No, of course not. You want to etablish an environment (as far as nutrition and toxicity) conducive to baby growth long before the pregnancy actually begins. Start discussing this with your doctor now, if you are actually trying to get all babyfied. Make sure dad-to-be goes with you, and is on board with all this lifestyle jazz. You'll never feel more alone than being in the kitchen on Saturday night with a 7 month bany in your belly, and your husband passed out or sloshed on the couch. However, not knowing your partner, maybe that situation isn't something you need to be concerned about.
Sounds normal to me. Like many thinks drink is ok in moderation. Sounds like you've got it about right.
god chill out girl, sum people get through bottles of Voaka, Bacardi and god nos wot else every weekend, and prob a few time through the week.
