Kitty said: Yes.Can i make wine with baker's yeast?-I try seach this on internet but no results found.Maybe this is a stupid question.
Mike said: oh,no,you are wrong.I have found as below for this question(Can i make wine with baker's yeast?),it will help you,my kids.
i wanted to try making wine, but i dont have winer's yeast. is it very important to have winer's yeast or is common yeast good enough for a first attempt?
Answer:
Yes, you can -but the result will not be as good. I have made dandelion wine with baker's yeast and it has turned out fine. One word of caution - never use bread machine yeast. It clouded my wine and created a lot of sediment.
Here is a wine making site that I have found very helpful. http://www.eckraus.com/index.htm...
You can purchase the correct yeast from them directly - and it is pretty cheap. They even explain the type of yeast you will need for your main wine ingredient or type.
You'll get better results with the right kind of yeast but, you can use standard baker's yeast in a pinch.
Best wishes!
It will give the wine a malty flavor - but, hey, go for it.
yes
Wine yeast would be best. I don't think you will achieve the same results with bakers yeast. Happy drinking!
Not really because it is not good to have wine in the yeast
You can make wine with bakers yeast, it won't be as good as wine made with wine yeast like Pastuer Red or Pastuer Champagne - you can obtain these at your local wine supply shop (they have many more types).
You can order on-line at:
http://www.ebrew.com/wine/wine_yeast.htm...
I would personally go without the yeast........
I wouldn't try it. Don't know the full chemistry behind it but there are places where you can order it online.
