Here are some friends with simlar question as we.And I have this question for many days, anyone help us?
Kitty said: Yes.Cruse Bros. 1974 Pouilly-Fousse, what is a case worth?-I try seach this on internet but no results found.Maybe this is a stupid question.
Mike said: oh,no,you are wrong.I have found as below for this question(Cruse Bros. 1974 Pouilly-Fousse, what is a case worth?),it will help you,my kids.
Answers:
Pouilly-Fuisse is a white Burgundy from Macon. It is made from Chardonnay.
Cruse Bros were negotiants. i.e they bought wines from growers and blended and bottled them under their own name. So it doesn't have the name of a well known vineyard or winery; it is a basic bottom level Pouilly-Fuisse meant for fairly immediate drinking.
1974 was more than 30 years ago.
Put these three facts together and I regret to tell you that I think the wine is valueless to a wine lover. However well the wine has been kept, it is unlikely to be pleasant drinking; there are few Chardonnays that will keep 30 years.
However you may find someone born in 1974 that would be interested in tasting a wine from their birth year
Other Answers:
It maybe worth heaps if its a good year(i don't think it is), you maybe able to check out some prices on E-bay... If you have this wine you need to change the corks about now...
