I have a dessert that my past-away Grandmother use to make. It's low in calories. It can be eaten warm or cold. I know for a fact that this product can make millions. Strangely, the world has heard of it but most of us have never had it. I did my home work and can not find this dessert any where. So I put together a portfolio. This dessert is a southern thing. It will need serious advertisement. I know I need to get a copyright, but it cost $150.00 that I don't have at this moment. So what should I do, and who should I talk to?

i would invest in getting the copyright first before talkin' to anyone.
then get in touch with a company that sells "diet" type food.
Don't give them your recipe but give them a presentation of what you got.
Get a couple of different companies to try your product.
then see if you can get an offer from them.
do your research and pick the best one.
bringin' it out on your own will take alot of money, time, and something not alot of us have.
sellin' it to another company might be your big shot.
or you can get your product in the market with certain stores. like walmart...
they have ppl try out their items for their stores, and if it sells you do well, even qvc... that online shopping network thing does that too.
market? you are lookin' for ppl who love comfort food but don't want to gain more wieght then what they have? i would see this in the upper 30-40 in women on or off diets as your primary market. then second would be trendy dieters.
good luck... but be care who you give your info too. some are just in the business for that.

I know who would love it: The NutriSystem People. They could make a fortune off of alternatives and even offering your product in bulk as a standalone spin off. Dan Marino did the marketing campaign for them. Just a thought...

"The practice of sending a copy of your own work to yourself is sometimes called a 'poor man’s copyright.' There is no provision in the copyright law regarding any such type of protection, and it is not a substitute for registration."
