i like wine appreciation and i normally try it with spirits too,
For me the taste of the jack daniels its:
-wood
-vanilla
- and some faint taste of almonds
Have fun tasting ths spirits, but i have to tell you the Sotol its the real game (its like the tequila but a little bit dryer (made only in chihuahua mexico))

Its smooth and i dont know about the actual taste like something to relate to just pour a half a shot and try it its good. U just got to get used to it.

The taste of whiskey will vary a great deal. They all have some relative components to the nose, specifically a slightly oakey and sometimes smokey scent. Blended whiskey will be smoother and tend to have a light wooden taste with hints of dark fruits and molasses. Bourbons will be very muscular in nature and have a strong smokey flavor with charred oak accents. Canadian whiskies tend to be lighter than American whiskies. Adding a little water to whiskey will soften it up abit and allow some of the more subtle flavor components to come to the forefront of the pallet.
It burns your 1. mouth out, 2. throat out, 3. stomach out, 4. your brain out, and 5. your soul out. Any more?
