im a 21 male and weigh about 105 pounds and drink every other day, i drink about 26 shots and 6 beers a week. I have been doing this for about 6 months and when i started i threw up alot but now i can handle it does that mean its not to bad for me now?
Answer:
No, that just means your body is adapting to it. Doesn't make it good for you.
Although there have been studies that show there are benefits from drinking red wine in moderation.
dont be stupid.
oh no it's still bad for you your body is just getting used to it.
The more you drink, the more your body becomes accustomed to processing alcohol. The negative effects on your liver, however, do not decrease with tolerance.
no. it means you are an alcoholic.
Sure, keep kidding yourself.
Keep that up and you'll be DEAD by the time you're 30, kid.
I have a son who thinks that he can handle beer. He is in county jail right now. They will probably give him ten years in prison. DUI's
several. No accidents. No speeding tickets. no wreck' s. He's 38
So is alcohol bad for you?
that is 6 drinks a day, its a lot
that is way too much liquor for such a small frame.... its a wonder you havent lost your liver yet
Everyone's bodies are different...some people are more resilient than others. But you're taking a serious gamble with your liver...not to mention having a chemical dependency.
If you don't want to stop drinking, at least space your drinks out (if you can), drink a lot of water, and don't take any other drugs when you drink (especially tylenol). And, obviously, don't drink and drive.
Your body is used to it thats it no prob
I'm a 34 year old heavy set male and i can consume more liquor then that in one night, i have added that you drink about 4 shots a day and one beer or drinking on the weekends it's 13 shots and 3 beers on fri. sat. that much liquor is not to bad for your body and it's healthy to make your liver work a littlt (it makes it stronger). So keep it up and bottoms up bud.
Your body is adapting to the presence of more ethanol.
Initially, like drugs, it takes very little to get a buzz going. But as you do it more and more, your body is less likely to feel the effects, so it takes higher doses to reach the initial buzz levels.
"The alcohol tolerance is connected with activity of Alcohol dehydrogenases (a group of enzymes responsible for the breakdown of alcohol) in the liver, and in the bloodstream. High level of Alcohol dehydrogenase activity results in fast transformation of ethanol to more toxic acetaldehyde. Such atypical alcohol dehydrogenase is less frequent in alcoholics than in nonalcoholics. Furthermore, among alcoholics, the carriers of this atypical enzyme consume lower ethanol doses, compared to the individuals without the allele."
So I guess that in the short run, heavy drinkers are polluting their bodies less than light drinkers.
Either way, enjoy responsibly.
it means you can now handle your liquor like a champ. be careful though
