i hate being red. i carry Clear Eyes with me everywhere because i hate red eyes. i'm not much of a drinker, but when i do drink, my face turns really red. when this happens, i stop drinking. any advice to keep me from changing colours?
Answer:
Try switching to WHITE wine
Probably Blood pressure, cut back
I have rosacea and my cheeks get really red when I have even one beer or glass of red wine.
My solution: drink white wine and skip the beer all together. Not my favorite solution, but it works and I'd rather not have the bright red cheeks.
I also went to the dermatologist who gave me some lotion for the rosacea which helped some, but I still have to behave most of the time.
I get the same way, have something on your stomach, it helps. After a while it goes away, just don't drink too much at first ,just sip for awhile.Bread helps.Dont go for the hard stuff first ,try beer.Wine is the worst for me.Just go slow. And red eyes you cant do much for that but clear eyes. Its just the alcohol getting in you blood stream and for some people it goes to your face. For me it goes to my face .and other places ..wink wink
If you are Asian it's called Asian flush. It has to do with a missing enzyme that metabolizes alcohol. My boyfriend has this problem any time he drinks beer or white, rarely with hard liquor.
If you're not Asian, than it probably just has to do with blood pressure or maybe you are allergic to some of the ingredients in whatever type of alcohol you are drinking. I.e. the barley in beer.
You can try taking pepcid AC before you drink. My bf does it and it helps with his redness.
Alcohol is a peripheral vasodilator, meaning that is causes the blood vessels in the skin to enlarge and fill with blood. This happens to everyone, it just affects you more than most people. Although the redness may be unsightly, it is harmless.
