Im trying to find a present for someone but i dont know much about wines. I'd like to know what brut rose wines are. any feedback will be very much appreciated.

Answers:
Holy crap, I can't believe the ignorance here. Yes, Brut means dry (not sweet), but is usually used on champage or other sparkling wines. Rose means pink color, not normally from a mix of red and white, but instead it is simply an indication of how long the red grape skins are left in contact with the wine as it is being made; pink wines have very little skin contact, red wines have alot. While pink wines have a bad reputation, due to so many inexpensive, crappy semi-sweet versions like White Zindfandel, some of the finest champagnes in the world are rose.

Other Answers:
"Brut" is a manufacturer. rose wine is a red/white cross.

Brut means simply DRY..or less sweet..ROSE' means a blend of white and red wine for a ROSE colour.
A nice sparkling wine BRUT but not ROSE is WOLF BLASS BRUT NON VINTAGE from Australia. $17-20 a bottle.
White Grenache from the Gallow Brothers is a nice Peach coloured Rose' $6-11 a bottle
FAT BASTARD SHIRAZ is a nice RED wine..$17-29 a bottle

My own taste..your mileage may vary

Go to your local Whole Foods and get a bottle of Feuillatte Brut Rose...guaranteed that your friend will LOVE it. Basically it is pink sparkling wine. A lot of people will call it Pink Champagne but unless it's from the Champagne region of France, it's sparkling wine. Rose wine is pink and Brut is one of the many names associated with sparkling wines. Check with a local wine shop to see if they can recommend any since I'm not sure where you are located and can't recommend any myself. Hope they like the present.
