For water, the freezing point is 0 degrees celcius. For ethanol (the type of alcohol that you drink), the freezing point is -114 degrees celcius, much colder than the temperature in your freezer.

Having said that, not all alcoholic drinks can be treated the same. Vodka, Whiskey, Tequila, etc. can be put in the freezer....but beers and most rums will freeze because their alcohol content is much less. As a general rule never put anything below 80 proof (40% alcohol) in the freezer. Less than that and you'll have either a brick or a mess.
