Mike said: oh,no,you are wrong.I have found as below for this question(Why dont we lower the drinking age to 18?),it will help you,my kids.

We are going to drink anyways lower it all i got to say.

Answer:
18year olds are not old enough to make good decisions, most 21 year olds aren't either.
Then car insurance will be higher cuz of all the drunk young drivers. And car insurance here in Florida would be phenominally high.
Even executives & doctors would be complaining bout the premiums.
i'm in australia and here the drinking age is 18.
but 15 year olds drink anyway so we may as well say why not lower it to 15?
the reason is you arent responsible enough yet. also i think in america it matters a lot more whether you complete the education you are doing at that age than it does here, because here we're finished high school at 18 and then most of us dont need to go to university for our career but i think it seems like in america you need to go to college to have a chance of a good career.
I agree. The states have it nuts. You can go to war, drive, vote and be tried as an adult, but god help you if you get drunk!!!
In England it is 18. I would move countries if I were you. Why would you want to love in a country where you cannot drink if you are under 21?!!
yeah right!! is that a joke!??

at 18, you're not responsible enough to drink.

you must be white because only white boys think drinking is cool.........

i just turned 21 and i havent had one drink yet. its not that cool of a thing to do...believe me.
It used to be 18 in the US. But then in the later 80's they changed it to 21 because it was a rider on a highway finance bill. So for any state to get highway money, they had to change it to 21. It'll never go down again.

Which is sort of a shame. At 18 you can vote and be drafted, yet you can't have a beer legally.
It used to be 18. It ws in the 70's i think that they reaised it to 21. Ridiculous. They are simply areibtrary numbers that have no meaning and the age restrictions were outdated when they were enacted. Even 18 is too high.
do you see alot of the kids out there ,there is no respect nowadays kids can't hold their booze too many fights I know a few people that have been jumped by a group of kids most of them were drunk they beet the **** out of them and them bragged about all the others that they done that to as well there is no discipline because you can't smack your kid
I'm 45 this year and this is my thought. The drinking age at 21 is absolutely stupid.

America is so afraid of any freedom and yes, I have a 17 year old son so I'm not oblivious to teenage drinking problems. The thing is if teenagers want to drink they do anyway.

Other countries find our up tightness hilarious and you can see their point.

My proposal is make the drinking age 19--like it is in Ontario and raise the driving age to 17 for learners permit and 18 for full license. Driving is way more complicated than it used to be, much more dangerous.

If you can join the military, vote, get married then you should be able to drink.
Because then getting drunk would be boring. Teenage drinking is so fun because half the fun is seeing if you can get away with it. Things like sneaking in the house staggering your *** off hoping your parents dont wake up looses its luster when your "legal" to drink. I think congress knows this because most of them are pot smoking fools and want kids to have thier fun!!
In Europe the drinking age is 12 when parents are still in control of their children. That way children learn from their parents how to drink responsibly instead of experimenting on their own without the advantage of having parental supervision. Also, that way when a person is 18 or 21, drinking is no big deal. People drink alcohol as a beverage not as a source of inebriation.
I think that one of the best arguments against lowering the drinking age is that at 18, your body is still growing and brain cells are still developing. Alcohol effects the growing body more drastically than the mature body. Also, because a body is still developing, a young person is more likely to become dependent on alcohol.
At 18 you are old enough to fight and defend and die your country in the Armed services. And vote for the president of the USA. You should be allowed to drink also
b/c the gov't is a *****
the federal government gives state governments money and grants to keep the drinking age at 18, due to this the states keep it at 18. they could change it if the state legislator wanted but it wont happen, and i think if u are old enough to die for your country then u are old enough to drink before u go lol
The 21 drinking age in the U.S. is ridiculous and the highest in the world. We should take after other countries about this and several other laws.
Dude in Canada in most places it is where are you. Cause i feel bad that its higher where you are
Most people drink responsibly but the stats are against younger people when it comes to drinking. There are much higher risks associated with that age group. To make it legal is like saying all the unacceptable things that go along with it are ok. There are some things in life you have to earn, this is one of many. So buy it where you can for now and try to show everyone that there are grounds for lowering the age by acting accordingly.
I'm living in Turkey and the legal drinking age is 18 in here. But I think it's not old enough to drink. It's more rational let people drink after twenties.
If at the age of 18 you can work, vote, own a car, own a home, get credit cards, pay bills, go to war, smoke, and do pretty much everything else it is rediculous for the drinking age to not also be 18.

If I come home to MY house after a hard day of work and decide that I want to relax and have a drink I should be allowed to do so, but legally that is not allowed since I am only the fragile age of 19.
