Because vodka doesnt make a very catchy song. Tequila has the right amount of syllables to go along with the "1 potato, 2 potato" rhyme.

It just sounds better. It has a certain rhytm to it that 1 vodka, 2 vodka 3 vodka, floor doesnt. But I guess you can do it with any drink you are having at the moment. Its just for fun :)

it could be vodka, but tequila hits people harder and faster, and a tequila drunk is WAY MORE DRUNK than vodka, and a tequila hangover IS WAY WORSE than a vodka hangover...none of them are good, but i avoid tequila always.
Maybe you should conduct a focus group and document the difference in the behavior! In the very least it would be great and cheap entertainment!!
