Answers:
Grilling uses high heat.

BBQ uses indirect or low-level heat and less expensive cuts of meats that need long, slow cooking to become tender and allow a full, smoky flavor to completely develop.

Other Answers:
Usually a barbeque uses barbeque sauce and grilling is without it.

the sauce when I BBQ, I use sauce -- when I grill, it is usually just to cook the meat or veggies, with no sauce.

with grilling the heat is produced from above,
with barbecueing you just burn everything

Grilling, lets see - if you choose the world of food prep, than this is a means of using an external heat source to cook a food item until it is ready to consume. Then again any parent may need to grill their son or daughter following suspected bad behavior. But you cant't barbecue anyone. You can however use a mixture of spices, condiments, and other food additives to conjur a sauce or finishing food application to ones particular taste preference that covers or adorns a grilled or cooked food, nomally meats of poultry.
