I used to think that Oroweat was a healthier brand, but we no longer buy their breads, and I am telling anyone who will listen. Is this just another example of corporate greed?

Yes. Corn syrup is subsidized. If you put it in your product you get a check from the government, like a rebate check. That's why you see it in products that don't even need sweetners. but I don't buy products with corn syrup because I think it is so unhealthy and makes you gain weight. 60 minutes did a wonderful story on it with Leslie Stahl.. It explained that it was cheap, the companies make alot of money by including it in their products and it correlation to the rise in obesity since the government started paying companies to use it.
Yep, corporate greed. High fructose corn syrup is extremely cheap. I don't use any products that contain it. I spread the word just like you.
I never knew that at all. I'm not sure if I know that product. Hmm...
