KFC Cole Slaw
This is a clone recipe
8 1/8 cups cabbage
1/3 cup carrot
1 teaspoon onion, chopped fine
3/4 cup buttermilk
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/8 cup milk
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1/3 cup granulated sugar

Core the cabbage, then shred the cabbage fine using the fine disk for the shredder attachment to the mixer. Shred the carrot the same way. Mix together cabbage, carrot and onion.

In a bowl combine the buttermilk, mayonnaise, milk and lemon juice with a whisk until well combined. Add the salt and pepper. Add the sugar to the sauce until well mixed in. Add the sauce to the cabbage and carrot mixture and mix well and allow the mixture to marinate for 13 hours in the refrigerator.

I want to add that I once worked at a KFC in Tampa Florida and when I first started working there my boss asked me to make some cole slaw. This is a true story honest...the cole slaw came in bags (cabbage and carrots) and I was suppose to add dressing that they buy already made in a gallon container. Well....I really didn't know what I was doing so I dumped the whole gallon of dressing with 1 bag of mix. LMAO my boss was so pissed at me, I ended up making a whole (clean mind you) trash can of coleslaw that day. So I take back the recipe above as I just remembered that epiosode and I wish I could remember the cole slaw dressing they used. But the above recipe may be better then KFC's.............

CABBAGE,CARROTS,MAYO,SALT PEPPER AND A SPLASH OF VINEGAR
white cabbage, carrot, watered down mayoneise, salt pepper and a little dash of malt vinega.

Cut cabbage and carrot to size, add rest of ingredients, and mix well...........

My boyfriend works at KFC and he doesn't know either!...It comes from an outside supplier. He works at KFC in Brisbane and they get it from a wholesale supplier and it is then packaged in store
try copykat.com they may have the recipe
steal there recipe
Put the cabbages, carrots in the food processer and chopped fine. Remove to a bowl and mix with Mayo and sugar.
Easy way: Shred the cabbage in a food processor. Add carrot if you like. Take Miracle Whip, place in bowl and add some milk.. Add about 1 table spoon (to taste) and mix to consistency of slaw dressing. Toss with the shredded cabbage and you are done! I get raves about it any time I make it. The dressing is great on lettuce as a salad dressing also. I do not like to use mayo, as it spoils easily and doesn't do well as left overs. Miracle Whip holds up fine.
The best way is to get a coleslaw mix from the store and a bottle of Marie's coleslaw dressing. Its pretty good. They sell these in the veggie area nere the salad mixes.
it's more of a pain to make than to buy, so why make it? I do a lot of cooking but my cole slaw doesn't come out so I just buy.

it's easier to just go buy some
The recipe above looks good, but the real thing has sweet picklet relish in it! Take a close look next time and you'll see little cubes of pickle! So add about 2 Tbsp. to that recipe and it should come pretty close.
START DATING SOMEONE AT KFC....IN THE THROWS OF PASSION, RIGHT WHEN THEY ARE ABOUT TO REACH THAT HIGH, ASK THEM WHATS IN THE COLESLAW..IF THEY DON'T TELL YOU, YOU DID NOT DO IT RIGHT...HAHAHA...
The regular way. Then you put it in giant food service containers, store it in the giant frig over the weekend and then on Monday you drive it all over the country to the KFC's. Oh by the way now that the colonel is RIP I guess I can tell you the secret ingredient. It's a tiny bit of horseradish.
