Can you just broil it?

Answers:
It is best to marinate it overnite in BBQ sauce, teriyaki sauce or even soy sauce, but even if you didn't, I would recommend grilling (best) or broiling - just medium rare because either broil or BBQ, if you cook it too long it could get really tough! Then sprinkle with salt and freshly ground pepper.

Other Answers:
I like to take it and put it on a hot grill to sear it and seal in the juices, then turn down the heat, letting it cook at moderate temp for a bit, and turning it frequently (every 2-3 mins.). When removed, it should have a cool to warm pink center, with nicely seared outside. Slice it with a very sharp knife across the grain, and then enjoy. Awesome cut of beef...

Turn your broiler on, cover one of the racks with foil. Put the london boil in for like 5 minutes on each side pretty close to the heat source, then lower it and do 5 more minutes on each side. That should get you a perfect medium rare london broil. CHeck it with a knife though, if it's not done through enough, keep it on the lower one for a little longer.

PS, there is no such thing as 'sealing in the juices' it's an urban legend. How to cook a London Broil?....well, since it's from London, best thing to do is hop on a plane for the UK and find out how the locals do it....just throw it on a tray and broil it til it's all broiled. No seasonings, spices or marinades are needed....that's the way the English like it...just plain meat. ....this is why English cuisine ranks at the bottom of the charts. I'm sure Martha has a good recipe.

I grew up in a very "ethnic" household-a Spanish father -Spanish food rocks! and a mother of British descent-so I'm not being nasty when I say that...I've experienced English food first hand. Take scones, for instance-EW!...just open your mouth wide and pour a box of Bisquick in there and throw some club soda in, swish it a round and there you have a scone.....sorry,...my mother's a very good cook though-just not British food.
