Corn Beef:
1 2-3 lb. corned beef
potatoes (as many as you would like)
carrots (as many as you would like)
cabbage (1 head)
onions (2)
bay leaves (2)
peppercorns (6-8)
cloves (4-5)
Place all ingredients (except cabbage) in crock pot and cover with water. Cook on high for about - 8 hours (hint: the longer you cook it the more tender it is)
About 1/2 hour before serving add cabbage wedges. Cook until tender. Serve

i'm assuming your corned beef comes in a can. If it's those fresh ones, i can't help you.
i'll chop brown onions up, then fry the onions with the corned beef.. do not have to add oil as the corned beef is already oily. over medium heat, fry till the beef is dry, like floss.. It becomes beef floss.. goes very well with bread/buns or rice.
oh don't eat this dirty stuff open the can of corned beef the get a pan put an oil in it, then put the corned beef in the pan and then cook it!
The best way I have found was to simply fill a dutch oven with water add corned beef and contents from package and onion(garlic if you like) Bring to a boil and then turn to a simmer for about 2-3 hrs,then put 1/2 the liquid in a roaster along with corned beef ,carrots ,cabbage ,and potatoes nad cover cook on 350 for about 40 minutes or so till veggies are tender!! enjoy
Have you tried corned beef omelette? Yummy. Just beat egg with slices of onion. Fry the corn beef until brown, pour the egg omelette. Sprinkle with a dash of pepper and you're done!Simple thing to do is just pour the whole can of mashed corned beef on non stick pan and fry until light and crisp! Goes fantastically well on baked potatoes and cheese toast! its cooked already, but you can make corned beef hash

fry some onions
add onions and mash, mix well then add corned beef.
cook in a pan until hot through. Here is my favorite recipe -
Corned Beef
1-4 Pound or so Corned Beef Brisket
2-Tsp Minced Onions
1-Tsp Garlic Salt
2-Tsp Ground Cloves
4-Bay Leaves
Topping
2-Tbls Mustard
2-Tbls Brown Sugar
?-Tsp Ground Cloves
Place Brisket in pot and cover with water. If the brisket came with a seasoning packet add it along with the minced onions, garlic salt, ground cloves and bay leaves. Bring to slow boil and reduce to simmer for three ? to 4 hours.
Remove from pot and place in shallow pan. Mix topping ingredients together and spread evenly on top of meat. Put in 350-degree oven for 20 minutes. Slice crossways into ?” slices.
If you want cabbage leave the pot on the heat when you remove brisket and cut a half head of cabbage into about six wedges. Put in pot and simmer for 20 minutes while the brisket is in the oven. Discard Bay Leaves. BAKED CORNED BEEF
5 to 6 lb. corned beef
10 peppercorns
2 bay leaves
1 lg. onion
2 tsp. sugar
Whole cloves
3/4 c. brown sugar
3/4 tsp. dry mustard
1 1/2 c. orange juice
Place corned beef in Dutch oven and cover with water. Add peppercorns, bay leaves, onion and sugar. Cook until tender. Mix brown sugar, dry mustard and orange juice in saucepan and bring to a boil. Remove fat from corned beef and stud one side with whole cloves. Pour glaze over and baste frequently. Bake 45 minutes.

MMMMMMM gooooood i can't Waite until st. patty's day. I make sandwiched with the left overs . Hope this helps and happy eating. :)
