I heard that chewing gum helps. dont take deep breaths around the onion, have on a fan to blow it away
this is going to sound weird but, plug your nose. when you can't smell it can't make your eyes water. if your nose was plugged, without smell, you could eat the onion and an apple and not even know the difference!

Cut them under water. put them in a bag and put the bag in the frige next day you can cut with out cring
I use onions often in cooking and never cry and I am usually running cold water when I'm chopping and preparing so maybe it does help to run the water.
Use a sharp knife, and if you cut the onion in half and let it sit a few minutes before you cut it the gases will be released and when you cut it you want cry.I always wear contacts or glasses when preparing food (or else I'd cut my dang hands off), and I've never had a problem, so maybe try wearing safety glasses, or even sunglasses while slicing them up. cut them under water or wear like goggles or something
