I wanted to bake a cake & put raisans & walnuts inside the mix but whenever I bake it, the nuts & raisans are all baked on the bottom of the bake & are no where else to be found in the cake. Is there a way to have the nuts & raisans evenly distributed in the cake & not only on the bottom of the cake?

Answers:
Put some in the mix and pour the mix in the baking pan. Then take some and sprinkle them on top of the cake Don't push them down with a fork.

When the cake gets hot in the oven, it liquifies a little, the nuts fall in the cake, but they don't have time to get to the botom becasue the bottom cooks first. So you end up with nuts at the bottom and at the top. even some in the middle.

Other Answers:
toss them in a little sugar to coat them evenly

i toss them in a little flour Try sprinkling the nuts in layers. I mean place a layer of the mix then the nuts and then the mix on top again.

Yes. Lightly flour the nuts and raisins first, before mixing them into the batter. It will help them suspend in the batter and keep them from all falling to the bottom.

add a little flour to fruit and nuts before mixing in to the batter, it'll prevent the fruit nad nuts from sinking down to the bottom

2 tricks I use: cut the nuts or raisins in smaller pieces
or/and toss them with flour to coat before adding to cake
batter.
