Ive heard of soaking it in saltwater before grilling.

Answers:
soak the corn in cold water (shuck and all) for about 10-15 minutes, then place on the grill and close the grill top, allow the corn to cook for 10-15 minutes on a part of the grill with about medium heat. Remove from heat, allow too cool for about five minutes, shuck and serve.

Wrap them in foil with butter rubbed on the cobs

Butter with plenty of butter, seal in aluminum foil, place on grill. soak it, butter it and then wrap it in foil to keep it from burning.


ive done this before....pull back the hull enough to butter the corn, put salt and pepper on it and put the hulls back on.....grill till outside is black but make sure you dont burn inside...toasted corn..its great

you dont have to put foil on it...the taste comes from cooking the hull around it, just dont burn it off

I save all my corn recipes for someone special.

Dehusk it, soak in cool water for about 1/2 an hour, wrap each ear in foil and grill! The water it absorbed cooks the inside like steam and makes for good corn. Just soaking it in water while it is still in the husk works fine. I usually do it overnight, then put it in the fire or near the coals. If you are afraid that it will catch on fire, try wrapping it in aluminum foil first.


Soaking it in salted water will infuse the corn with a slight saltiness as longs as you do not leave it there to long. Then it may take on the characteristics of a brine. Not good. For grill, corn is a type of vegetable that has a natural sweetness and can blend well with accents of citrus, spices (peppers), butter, and even other vegetables. I usually prepare mine wrapped in tin foil with fresh cilantro, fresh lime juice and roasted mild chili's prepared on the grill prior. Go crazy! Try a little tequila, or pineapple juice, the secret is remembering what flavors go well together and what you like.

all we do here is we husk the corn...baste with olive oil, salt, and pepper...and then throw it on the grill...its fantastic and simple

Wrapping the corn in foil and putting into the oven is just as good as puting it on the grill....

Rub mayo on each piece of corn...add salt and pepper..and Parmesan cheese ...wrap with foil and put on grill or into oven for about 30 mins ...My husband and I both love this!
