In the steak grease, or butter??

Answers:
You can do either, but the steak drippings will add more flavor. Just add the sliced mushrooms to no more than two tablespoons of the drippings, but be sure to leave in the bits of meat stuck to the pan. Cook the mushrooms until tender. Use a little dry red wine to deglaze the pan, scraping the bits off the bottom. Season to taste. Serve over your steak and enjoy.

Other Answers:
i haven't tried it, but I would probably go with butter
Butter and a dash of worceshire sauce
Just slice 'em up and sautee with butter...
I don't but butter is the answer. Not in the steak grease. You want the mushrooms to have thier own flavor, to enhance the steak. Not taste the same as it.
In the juices from the steak and a dash of soy sause.
i saute them in a different pan as i BBQ the steak over charcoal. but i put the mushrooms in a skillet and then add some onions and about 1 teaspoon of butter and about a 1/4 to a 1/2 cup of white wine. you still get juicy mushrooms with out as much fat you can remove the butter as well but i like the flavor.
you can fry it in the steak grease and add a little red wine but take the pan off the stove before you put the wine in it could flare up and make a big fire
or you could fry it up with some garlic butter
Some extra virgin olive oil and a little garlic and fresh ground pepper sauteed over medium-low heat.
I use the left over 'steak grease', but I first marinate the meat with 1/2c olive oil, Worcester sauce, garlic, pepper, salt, onion powder (because I do not like the texture of onions), and a dash of soy sauce.

I am a guy who loves cooking.
in butter, and with a bit of red wine- but it's sauteing not frying- frying will leave you with crispy, rubbery, flavorless and inedible mushrooms- sauteing them will give you flavorful, tender, and delicious mushrooms.
Butter and a little sliced onion, salt and pepper.
Most saute mushrooms and then place them on top of the steak. I like to use wine and butter.

There are 51 ways to saute mushrooms At the following web site

Ick! Pour off that grease, sister! Same for butter. Use a wine sauce instead. Yo! Venison with red wine and mushroom sauce! Had that in a restaurant in Landstuhl. Heavenly!
You can do it either way, they both taste good.
yes
fry with garlic and butter..
could saute it in the grease, but i always saute them in butter. enjoy...
Most people are right, you can do it either way.
But i think is better to cook the mushrooms seprate, because the steak is already very greasy.
Garlic, veg. oil, salt and pepper should do it.
This way the mushroom taste cleaner and not greasy like the steak.
Enjoy, but take it easy on fat beef.
too much is not good for you.
Saute them in a tab of butter and small amount of oil. Add garlic power, salt and pepper to taste.
