I have been eating leftovers put in the fridge. What are some of the advice you can make to keep these food as fresh as possible?

Answers:
If you know you arent going to eat it all in a week, or even suspect it. Freeze it, date it and try not to forget for more than a month. Dont do this to fruits n veggies, they dont always take to this very well. My ma makes a huge pot of chili, or chicken soup, and we put it individual serving size containers and eat it whenever we have the hankering. Just dont ever re-freeze raw meat.

Other Answers:
seal them up in a zip lock or in plastic wrap or a vacuum food sealer.
definitely seal them like she said. Also, the colder you keep the fridge the longer food will stay good. hency why things in the freezer last so long.
always wrap in clingfilm or pop it in a tupperware box
they say it's best (a lot safer) to let the container cool before placing leftovers in the fridge. also, airtight seals for freshest food.
We do the same thing at my house that inspired does. We freeze in individual serving containers. Even leftovers. That way we don't get the science projects going on in the back of the fridge. The hectic schedules that we sometimes keep cause us to miss cooking. Then we reach into the freezer for pot roast/mashed potatoes & gravy/carrots or some home made soup or hamburger helper (my husband's all time favorite meal).
