I love green tea frappacinos, and so I got I got green tea matcha powder for my birthday so I could make my own.
But mine taste like frozen vegetable soup, eww.

i worked there. did you also get the creme base for your bday? cus if not and you%26#039;re just blending that powder crap (i HATE it btw, but to each his own, haha) with ice, then no wonder it tastes like veggies! to me it tastes like fruit flavored grass haha. anyway, i honestly suggest buying a bottle of melon syrup, they%26#039;re only like 6 bucks each and last a while. ask for the pump with it and most will give you one. for a %26quot;tall%26quot; its 2 pumps, 3 for %26quot;grande%26quot;, and 4 for %26quot;venti%26quot;. and you wanna put the same for scoops of the powder. 2, 3, and 4, and use a teaspoon, the actual measuring kind, cus thats the closest to the scoop they use there. as for the creme base, if you dont have any cus im not sure you CAN buy it, try mixing nonfat milk with maybe one of those powdered drink mixes, a vanilla flavor...you know like the powdered nesquick chocolate drinks you mix w/ cold milk? im SURE they make a vanilla version, SOME brand has to! and if not, try a bit of vanilla extract in the milk? or for a super rich one try substituting vanilla ice cream for the cream base. and don%26#039;t forget the ice! small cubes will give you the same texture...phew that was a long answer!

you can buy the melon syrup at any starbucks, they all sell them, i think the price was 6.95 (in california) when i quit about 2 months ago...be sure to ask if they have any extra pumps they could give you too so you can get the amounts right. Report Abuse

I use 4 bags of green tea to 2 cups of water, add sugar or nutrisweet to taste. My blender has an %26quot;ice%26quot; line and a %26quot;liquid%26quot; line. Most do. Fill up to the ice line with ice and the liquid line with the very concentrated tea and blend. I also like to add a scoop of lemon sorbet.
