0.042 cup [metric] = 0.044 380 904 796 cup [US], but that doesn%26#039;t help you in the least to make cocoa!
Here is a single cup of cocoa recipe for the microwave, from Hershey%26#039;s:
Combine 1 heaping teaspoon HERSHEY%26#039;S Cocoa,
2 heaping teaspoons sugar
dash salt in microwave-safe cup or mug.
Add 2 teaspoons cold milk; stir until smooth.
Fill cup with milk.
Microwave at HIGH (100%) 1 to 1-1/2 minutes or until hot.
Stir to blend; serve.
When I make cocoa, I like it nice and rich. So I usually use 1/4 cup of cocoa to 2 cups of milk and then add sugar to taste. Love the deep rich cocoa with lots of sugar. :-)

2 teaspoons.... 1 cup equal 16 tablespoons or 48 teaspoons, 1/48 (1 teaspoon) equals .02083 cups, so 2 x .0208 equals .0416 cups
