I'll be preparing 1/2 to 1 pound

Answers:
The best way I've had it was chinese style.

Ingredients:
Lobster
Fresh Ginger, about 3 tsp, sliced and skin removed
Fresh Garlic, about 3 cloves, sliced or crushed
1 bunch of green onions, loosely sliced
flour or corn starch
Water

Chop the lobster into pieces, using a cleaver, chop off the claws, then divide the body into 3 or 4 pieces. When severing the head from the body, try to cut it cleanly off the body.

In a bowl add 1/4 cup of cold water and 1 tsp of corn starch. Mix well until dissolved. Put aside.

Using a wok or hot skillet, add 3 tsp of oil, heating to med/high.
Then add some crushed garlic, a handful of onions, and the lobster. Mix well, stir frying. Add the ginger and more onions, and more garlic if you wish. The lobster will slowly start turning red.
When it does lower the heat to med. Slowly stir in the corn starch mixture. Mix the lobster, cover for 2 to 4 minutes, mix again.

When the lobster is bright red, remove from heat. Serve hot.
Note: Even if the lobster turns red, cook for an additional 5-10 minutes to make sure its completely cooked.

Drop in a pot of boiling water, won't take long, about 2 to 5 min.

freeze the lobster for about an hour then drop it in boiling water for a couple minutes Lobster is best boiled or steamed. If you have a big enough pot (like a medium stock pot) put water and salt (lots of salt - 1/4 cup or so) bring to a slow boil and drop in the lobster. It will "scream" but that is only cooking - lobsters don't have vocal chords and can not make a sound like screaming. When it turns bright red, it is done. This will take about 15 or 20 minutes, depending on the size of the lobster.

For the steak. I do mine by putting kosher salt and fresh ground black pepper on it on both sides, then drizzle a little Extra Virgin Olive Oil. Put it on the broiling pan under the broiler. Put a wooden spoon between the door and the oven to keep the broiler on. After 8 to 10 minutes, flip it over, in another 8 minutes or so, it is done (this is for a Medium Rare steak about 1" thick). Let it rest for a couple of minutes before cutting to keep the juice from running all over the place. Your cooking times will vary depending on the oven and how you like your steak.

To add to the previous. . . make some clarified butter (melted butter with the fat taken off) and mix in some lemon juice to dip the lobster in. For the steak, some crumbled bleu cheese on top after it is done. . .

Enjoy them both.
