Mike said: oh,no,you are wrong.I have found as below for this question(I FORGOT! How long do you boil fresh sweet corn on the cob???),it will help you,my kids.
Answers:
Allow the water to come back to a boil and then cook the corn for 5 to 10 minutes, depending on desired tenderness.
Do NOT add salt to the water when cooking sweet corn because the salt will toughen the corn. Add a little sugar to the water to boost the flavor.
My favorite fresh corn on the cob is Silver Queen... or any white variety.
Other Answers:
Once the water is boiling, I put the corn in for five minutes.
10 minutes, the more you boil it the less flavor and the more pasty it gets however.
10 minutes in boiling water....though you can eat it raw.
I boil it for 5 minutes. A also add a dash of sugar to the water to add to the sweetness - some people use salt - I prefer sugar.
not very long or it will be tough, put the corn in boiling salted water for 6 or 7 mins
Once the water is boiling (I add some sugar to the water instead of salt) I put in the corn, cover it and boil for 6 minutes.
I always put my corn on the cob in the steamer for 30 minutes.
when I used to boil it (depends on how many ears) anywhere from 30 to 60 minutes.

It tastes better steamed.
10 to 15 minutes
Soak it in water, then grill it outside for about 20 minutes.
or
Soak it in water, then microwave it for about 10-15 minutes.
Boiling corn on the cob in water takes all the flavor out of the kernels, but if that's the way you want to cook it, then boil for about 15-20 minutes.
I'd really recommend NOT boiling it. Whenever you boil vegetables, you lose all or most of the nutrients into the water. For an easy alternative that retains most nutrients, peel the corn, rinse it off with cold water and wrap in plastic wrap. It's important to rinse it so that you have water droplets on the corn that will produce steam while cooking. Cook for 5-8 minutes per ear, depending on your microwave wattage and size of the ear of corn. It's very easy to do and better all around.

own experience
Let the water come to a complete boil FIRST then boil ten minutes, but if you have fresh sweet corn from the field, you do not have to add anything. But if you get corn from the store then add a little sugar.
My family has a farm and one of their biggest crops is corn, both sweet and field.
Depending on how many ears you are preparing - if it is just enough for dinner, I either steam for 15 minutes counting from when water is at full boil or if I'm in a hurry, I put the ears in the Microwave for 8 minutes.

Years & years of preparing fresh corn for my family
not very long...it's much better to err on the undercooked side.
it depends on the variery of the sweetcorn you have, the best way is to check it every quite often after 30minutes.
Some varieties even takes an hour to cook. Use low fire. and some salt and sugar in the water!
I have a recipe blog too why dont you drop by and get some more recipe! See you there! http://recipe.gotblab.com/health-diet/fortune-cookies/
