1/2cup white sugar+1/2cup brown sugar is that ok for 1cup w.sugar in recipe

Answers:
The color and taste might be different but not necessarily bad. Brown sugar is white sugar with the molasses still in it.

Other Answers:
yeah sure not that different!! '!'
It really depends on what you're making. It may taste funky using brown sugar, or you may discover a new favorite. Experimenting is alway sfun.
Kraft has a new product that has a combination of real white sugar and artifical sweetner. Brown sugar, even powdered sugar is okay to use in a recipe of yours. Raw sugar is the best sugar in the world.
Yep, I've done that before and it turned out fine!

yeh u can do that ;p
It will only effect the colour of your bake.
That should be ok except brown sugar is usually not as fine as white sugar. Depending on what you are making If its cake where you use eggs and raising agent, it may not turn out well becos of the brown sugar dampness and may form holes at the bottom of the cake. But theres a cake that calls for brown sugar and it turns out spongey and you may like the texture.Try it and check it out.
No brown sugar is to moist, and has a different taste than white sugar. White sugar is sweeter than brown sugar.
actually, they are a little different.they have different tastes and different textures, brown sugar is more sweet. but i am sure you can try half brown sugar and half white sugar and see what happens
