You cant go wrong with beef stew!
Go to allrecipes.com they have a whole section on slow cooker recipes!
Brown some beef cubes or hamburger in grease (butter is good). In same pan, dust meat with flour, salt, and pepper. Put in crock pot. Cut onions in chunks. Cut celery in chunks. Cut carrots in chunks. Cut potatoes in chunks. Add vegetables. Put in crock pot. Stir in one or two cans of mushroom soup. Rinse meat pan with about 1/2 cup water. Scrape stuff from sides and bottom of pan into the meat drippings/flour/water mixture. Add the watery mixture to the top of the stew. Cook all day on low until meat is tender and you are ready to eat.
There is a good Corned beef recipe in the crock pot book that comes with it....yummy
