Yes, totally. 5 oz. means 5 ounces,

If it is being said to represent an ounce.. then yes.

If you are reading the book: The Wizard of Oz" , then no.

yep! If it's used in a recipe it is. Like if it says 1oz of water, that means one ounce of water.

No, It is more like awz, Because, cause, pause.. Hope that helps. God bless and Good Luck.. {:-)

Depends what you are referring to - if the weight, then 'ounce' as in 'pounce', if the country (Australia) then like the Wizard of Oz.

Notice that I give the received British pronounciation. In the US the 'o' is longer ... more like 'aw' (short 'o's sound more like 'a' or 'u' to an English ear ... more open, so an American's 'sorry' sounds somewhere between 'sarry' and 'surry' to us.)

Yep yes

Yes oz - ounce.

Yes I think so!!~

yes, but I don't think it's capitalized and there's a period (.) after the z. Otherwise, you might be talking about the land of Oz. Yes. It's an abbreviagtion for ounce. Unless youi're referring to Oz ro Australia.. The it's Oz

The letters "oz." serve as an abbreviation for the word "ounce."
