Mike said: oh,no,you are wrong.I have found as below for this question(Is it really worth the $$ to pay for upgrades to a home and purchase a gas range),it will help you,my kids.
We have a home that I had built semi-custom a couple of years ago, and I passed on the builder installing a gas line to the kitchen and installing a gas range. Now I'm thinking we'd like a gas range, but is the cost for plumbing/electrical work worth it, along with the cost for a new gas range?
Answers:
How fussy are you about your cooking? I have had a gas range, and I now have electric. It came with my house, but I'm going to run a gas line as soon as I can afford it. Electric heat is too hard to control. The elements do not heat or cool quickly, so you risk burning or boiling-over. With gas, you can see exactly how high the flame is. Depending on where you live, gas could be a lot cheaper than electric, anyway. (Of course, that depends on the oil cartels, too...) As for ovens, it doesn't matter whether you have gas or electric. But good stovetop cooking depends on instant controls. You never see an electric stove in a professional kitchen, do you?
Other Answers:
Installing a gas line will not be cheap, but a gas range is (in my opinion) a lot better appliance than an elecrtic range, for all intents and purposes. If cooking is important to you, and you want to have the best appliances for the job, gas is the way to go.
It is definitely worth the cost for a gas range. It is more versatile than electric. The costs are high, so it depends on how often and how diverse you cook. Gas ranges are great for many reasons.
1. heat up quickly and evenly
2. variet of cooking methods are possible when you have a flame.
3. you can find ranges that have built in griddles and grills that can be convient for pancakes grilling indoors etc.
4. the ovens usually cook much more evenly and hotter than electric.
Don't forget the cost of the vent. You might want to consider having propane installed, it might be cheaper than a gas line. I'm not sure about the cost, but it gives you another option. Only you can answer the question if it's worth the money. How much do you cook? I love to cook and do so often. I wouldn't even consider buying a house that had an electric stove.
