Answers:
not at all. Broccoli is a flower, and Cauliflower is in the same family. Squash comes from Flowers as well. If you pick the flowers, you can stuff them and deep fry them. I like my squash flowers dipped in a beer batter and fried. Nasturtium is a flower you can grow in your garden and then can pick it and put it in salads, a little peppery, but very colorful and pretty - I had a 3 yr old pick all of mine from my garden and eat them when I needed them for a wedding reception! Lucky he was cute! Dandelions are also flowers, and I grew up on Dandelion soup and salads, (Italian). Brussel Sprouts, Rapini (Broccoli Rabe), Kale, Cabbage, Fiddlehead, Cayenne Pepper, Chili Peppers, and herbs such as Lemon Verbena, Chamomile, Oregano, Basil, Thyme, Rosemary, etc...

That is all I can find so far. Hope it helps
