this is related to frosting, if you have any recipes for frosting, please include some!

Answers:
Use your blender to make your own powdered sugar by adding a teaspoon of cornstarch to a cup of granulated sugar and blending until it's fine. You'll never have to buy powdered sugar again, and you'll always have it fresh, not to mention that granulated sugar is cheaper.

Other Answers:
I don't think so. I mean it 'could' be possible but that would be far too much grinding. The consistencies are way too different.

An easier way to substitute granulated for powdered (confectioners) sugar is to add cornstarch. 1 cup granulated sugar + 1 teaspoon cornstarch = 1 cup powdered sugar.

a cookbook substitution chart Whaaat are you people talking about?!

True confectioners sugar doesn't contain any cornstarch.

Frosting mix Does contain cornstarch.

If you want frosting mix - add some, but be warned, the wrong sort and it'll taste floury.

I have no recipes for frosting, can't stand the stuff personally. I know confectioners sugar because I'm a confectioner. yes you will but it is more consistant to buy it.

Confectioners sugar is generally called 10X

Powdered sugar can be either 6X or 4X and yes they add corn starch to it to keep it from clumping.
