What aisle in the grocery store can I locate it? Or is it hard to find!!

Thanks!

Answers:
It's basically pasta. Just shaped like rice; so yes it's healthy if you eat with portion control. Your body needs complex carbs like rice, pasta, potatoes, etc. If you eat with proper control then you can have your cake and eat it too.

pasta aisle its delicious
It is rice shaped pasta. I buy Barilla brand.
orzo would be in the pasta aisle
Orzo is a tiny pasta shaped like rice. So, you can find it in the pasta section of many grocery stores. As far as healthy goes...well, it's refined white-flour pasta. Probably not much value, except that many brands are fortified with folate (or folic acid) which is thought to be good for your heart, other health concerns, and also for your growing baby if you are pregnant. (Actually, you should be taking folic acid even before you become pregnant to ensure adequate levels for the developing baby.) Otherwise, though, as I said, it is refined white flour and therefore has very little fiber or other nutritional value to speak of. Some nutritionists will say to stick to whole foods...whole wheat pasta as opposed to white pasta. I haven't seen orzo in whole wheat form, possibly because it is so small and the texture would be weird.
Orzo will be in the pasta section. Even though it looks like rice, it is not a whole grain, it is a pasta.

Healthy? Well, that depends on your personal dietary goals. For the average reasonably healthy person, it is no better or worse than any pasta eaten in moderation. However, like any pasta it is made from refined wheat flour, so if you are controlling high glycemic carbs for any reason, you need to be careful. And just like with any pasta, the health factor can change substantially if you drench it with a high fat, high cholesterol, high sodium sauce like an alfredo or carbonara.

So in summary... if you are very health conscious and restricting your high glycemic carbs, stick with a whole grain like brown rice or quinoa instead.
Its simply pasta kinda shaped like rice, so its in the pasta aisle and is not hard to find.
