use another rising agent like baking soda, i made some couple years ago and turned out pretty good

I basically grew up eating these sandwiches and I still absolutely love them! It's the whole sweet and sour taste! Mmmmm. Anyway, my husband insists that my mom must have been crazy to feed me that and he bets there isn't anyone else who eats this sand...
