There are 2 actually

One was called mud pies or haystacks? .. i think. Small chocolate lumps almost lol. All i can remember is coconut and chocolate.

The second was called clodhoppers? i think =( At Christmas time she called the Reindeer droppings. THey had a solid chocolate covering but I don't know what the mixture was inside =((

I would imagine that both of these recipes are Dutch in descent as I grew up in Rotterdam...

I think the reindeer droppings were chocolate covered raisins

here is 1 dutch recipe for candy..it could be what you are looking for only under a different name
http://fooddownunder.com/cgi-bin/recipe.cgi?r=70442 I make hay stacks every year for Halloween. They are very easy.

1 2/3 cups(11-oz. pkg) Nestle Butterscotch Flavored Morsels
3/4 cup creamy peanut butter
2 cans (5oz each) chow mein noodles
3 1/2cups miniature marshmallows
Line 2 large baking trays with wax paper

Microwave morsels in large, uncovered bowl on medium-high (70%) power for 1 min; stir. The morsels may retain some of their original shape. If needed, microwave 10-15 secs. more until melted. Stir in peanut butter until well blended. Add noodles and marshmallows; toss until all ingredents are coated. Drop by rounded tablespoon onto prepared trays. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
