I want homemade onion rings! How do you make them? Any recipes that are you die for --please share.

Answers:
Find a good tasting onion, Maui, Vidalia or someting along those lines. Slice them to the size of tour liking. Dust them with seasoned flour, salt, white pepper, a little cayenne if you like them a little spicey. Dunk the onions rings in buttermilk or an egg wash (a few eggs beaten well with a little milk) then back in the flour mixture. Set them on a rack and allow them to dry a little, This helps the flour set so it doesn't all flake off. Fry them in hot oil (at least 350 to 375) til golden brown. When they are ready pull them out and lightly salt them before the oil dries. It helps keep the seasong on the rings.

ho would i get some duhhh!

I like to use beer batter, GoldenDipt makes a good one. All you do is mix the batter mix with a cup of beer (I like dark beer), dip the sliced onion in it, and deep fry. It's fabulous. Go to BK, they're awesome !!

i like slicing the onion into rings like the ones for hamburgeres and then i seperate the rings then i usually buy a batter like what you would use for battering fish and veggies. then you would deepfry them. they are really good i love them.

yeah i want em too

use a plain cake batter and add a little vanilla extract mix together flower, water, salf and beer to make the batter. then but the onion in to big chunck of onion rings. in a deep pan heat a lot of oil. dip the onion in the batter and then in the oil. when the onion ring rises to the top its done. they are really good.
