Pine nuts (Pignolias) also called pignoli and pinion.
I enjoy eating them right out of the jar and in salads.
You can get them in most grocery stores now.

I don't think so. At least I don't eat pine cones.
I think some certain types of pine trees produce "cones" that has a seed in it, a.k.a. pine nuts or pignolli, used in a lot of Italian cooking.

It's the pine nut. It's used in baking (Italians love the pignoli -- a cookie sprinkled with pine nuts) and in making other dishes, including pesto.
