Answers:
You really shouldn't keep it in the fridge at all. If it has baking soda in it, it will lose it's effectiveness, and you'll end up with a brick. If it has beaten eggs, they will deflate with the same result. Egg yolks may develop a skin that ruins the texture.

If you want to have a quick way to make a cake, mix all the dry ingredients and store them in a fridge or freezer. Then mix all the wet ingredients *except* eggs and do the same. All you have to do it mix and bake.

Other Answers:
Not too long. It will maybe keep a day or so, but in standing, the air will come out of it, so you must beat it well before you bake it.
24 hours
The refrigerator would suck all the water out of a cake. Wrap it inside a container. Then you possibly keep it for a long time.
The longer you keep it in the fridge the flatter it will be because the baking powder de-acativates when it gets cold.
JUST A DAY
