The most popular way to cook crab legs (and i am assuming that you mean Alaskan Snow Crab Legs, because you were not very specific) is to steam them. In the bottom of a large pot, put between 1-2 inches of water in the bottom... then place a small cooking rack or bowl in the bottom to elevate the crab legs above the water. Bring the water to a rolling boil and then add the crab legs. Allow the crab legs to steam from 10-12 minutes with the pot covered to hold in the steam until hot throughout. Most crab legs come pre-cooked so if your crab legs are underdone they will not make you sick, just add them back to the steaming pot and cook longer until the desired temperature. HOPE THAT HELPS!
PS - People below me said to boil the crab legs, i would not recommend that because the shells fill up with water and it makes them messy when you eat them... and makes the crab taste briney or salty because of the residual salt that is on the shells. Also they are easier to overcook when you boil them, and that makes the shells gummy and hard to crack! Just dont do it!

Steam them or boil them. You can steam them by bringing a little bit of water to a boil in a large pot and putting the crab legs in a colander in the bottom of the pot. Put a lid on the pot and that will steam them. If the legs are pre-cooked, you will only need to reheat them. This will only take 5 to 7 minutes (from frozen). I'm not sure how long it will take if they are not cooked (they are usually pre-cooked). When you buy the crab legs, ask someone in the seafood department if they are pre-cooked.

Crab legs can be baked, boiled, steamed, or microwaved.
Microwaving is the fastest - Add crab legs to a microwave safe container. Add 1 tbsp. water per 8 oz. of crab legs. Microwave on high 3-4 minutes per 8 oz. of crab legs. Serve with lemon wedges and/or clarified butter and use a nutcrackers to open the shells.
Generally you are just heating them as they are sold precooked - unless you are in Maine or Maryland - I am landlocked and buy crab legs that are pink and precooked - probably frozen and thawed - but so delicious
