need to go shopping but not up to it... how can i season them and still have some good ribs?
Answers:
Try using Honey sauce instead.
Other Answers:
rub them with a mixture of brown sugar, salt, pepper, and onion salt. dont forget to peel away the membrane on the backside of the ribs. cook in oven for about 1.5 hrs.
delicious!
marinate in italian dressing.
rub them with oil.
Then
salt pepper and garlic powder
If you have thyme, you could use that with some olive oil and salt/pepper, or you could use mustard and honey. Mix together and rub on pork. You could also use worchestire sauce.
use a dry rud, some chilli power, garlic, basil, salt, pepper, sugar, celery salt, rub on and let marinate for 1hr or more than cook like any ribs, it's good
Do a recipe search and make your own sauce.
Soy sauce, orange juice, ginger, garlic, brown sugar marinade.
Add some seasoning salt and put them in the broiler on your stove.
Give them a good rub with olive oil lemon or lime juice, some red wine & ketchup.
make your own bbq sauce
just don't put any sauce on them
Sure - just season the h*ll out of them. Try Lawry's Season salt, garlic powder, Tony Cacheres (sp?) Cajun Seasoning, and pepper. You could also add some Louisiana Hot sauce and/or Tabasco Chipotle (my new favorite for heat!). You can make your own sauce with ketchup, brown sugar, Louisiana hot sauce, garlic, and onion. Put it on the stove and simmer. Add a little more sugar or heat or whatever until you get it the way you want.
My first thought was, just don't use BBQ sauce. But I suppose you are asking alternate methods of cooking them. Ribs that have been placed in a hot oven, about 425-450 to brown, can then be put in a dutch oven with some sauerkraut, or maybe orange juice with some brown sugar added. Or just water, but only about 1/2 or so in the bottom of the pan, otherwise you will boil them. Turn the oven down to 325, cover the pan and let it go for at least 2 hours. Check to see if the ribs are tender enough for you. If not, let it go until they are. Be sure to season them with your favorite seasonings before cooking.
