I am trying to make spring rolls and cannot find spring rolls wrappers in the store. So I thought I would try to make some.
Answers:
Ugh. That is like trying to make puff pastry. Do it once, and you'll never do it again.
You just don't know where to look. They are sold in specialty food shops (Asian markets, gourmet groceries, Whole Foods, World Market, Trader Joe's, etc.) and sit on a shelf near the Asian foods. They are usually in a stiff, clear plastic container that is flat. They are rather opque, and often have hashmark-looking thngs on them. Your just dip them in warm water for a few seconds to soften.
Other Answers:
Look for phyllo dough. Its the same consistency. Tough to work with but delightful to eat ;-)
