hi,
i got an 8 pack of huge angus beef patties. they dont seem to have any kind of seasoning / flavor to them. when i grilled 2 of them, the burgers tastes so bland.
how do i make them taste better without having to break the patties? anything i could add?
thanks.
Answers:
The trick is to marinade them in liquid sauce of YOUR choosing, meaning to soak them for a couple of hours or so in some kind of barbeque sauce that you like. Put them in a bowl or pan, pour some sauce over them, and let them soak some of that flavour up.
Other Answers:
I ADD JUST A TABLESPOON OF TERYAKI AND SOME CRUSHED GARLIC AND MRS DASH OR GRILL SESONING THEN GRILL
salt pepper garlic powder, Mrs. Dash seasoning is good. There are all different varieties to choose from.
season with Adobo seasoning...and drizzle some Worchestshire sauce on them. put pepper to...but NOT salt b/c it dries out the meat, and that ruins the taste.
Sprinkle on Seasoned salt, garlic powder, onion powder, cajun or creole seasoning (if you have it), pepper. Maybe some soy sauce or worchester sauce if you like.Try soaking them in a marinade- just pour on top of them on a plate. I have been unimpressed by Angus meat.
I would get some freshly-ground 85% lean. I mix in dehydrated onion flakes, garlic powder, and onion powder.
If you don't want to break the patties (there is no reason not to) season with the onion and garlic powders and a little black pepper.
I would serve them with bacon and cheese on top. Yummy! What time is dinner? Monteray steak seasoning and Lipton onion soup mix!
It's really good!
Or just add salt, pepper, seasoning salt and maybe
some Worcester sauce to each side.
You can crush some garlic and finely chop some red onion. Crumble up some blue cheese and add this trio of ingredients to the patties. You shouldn't have to manipulate the patties too much to add these extras and they will make a huge difference in the flavor. Try McCormick's Grill Mates for Hamburgers.. You'll find it in the spice section of your grocery store..
I brush on a mixture of:
A1 sauce
Ketchup
Ranch dressing
Hot sauce
Salt and pepper
Just mix toether equal parts of all but the hot sauce. Add hot sauce depending on how spicy you like your burgers.
Marinate in white wine and a little onion powder. Just sock the patties but not to much the patties really soak it up. Really good a favorite in the family Tony Chachere's Cajun seasoning and Worcestershire sauce is the best! Especially for already formed patties, just don't skimp when seasoning.
