If you know how to make bread dough, homemade pizza is simple. If you've never made bread dough, it is something worthwhile to learn. :) Pizza is also a great way to start with yeast doughs because if it doesn't rise much it doesn't matter! Here's how I make pizza:
Dough:
1 pkg. yeast
1 lb. flour (approximately)
1 c. warm water (about 120 degrees Fahrenheit)
Mix yeast with about 1 c. flour. Pour water over the mixture, and mix. Add flour, about 1 c. at a time, until the dough is too thick to mix with a spoon. Keep adding flour (about 1/2 c. at a time) while mixing with your hands; keep folding the dough over itself and incorporate all the flour well before adding more. You have added enough flour when you push down firmly on the dough with the heel of your hand and it still feels moist, but your hand comes away clean.
You can let the dough rise, but pizza really doesn't rise much, so you can just roll it out to a 13" circle and place it on a pizza baking sheet. Add toppings (sauce, cheese, lightly cooked vegetables, etc.). I make a quickie sauce by mixing a 6 oz. can of tomato paste with a can full of water, plus about a teaspoon each of oregano, black pepper, and garlic powder.
Place the finished pizza in a *cold* oven (this gives it a chance to rise as the oven heats up) and turn it on to 350F/175C. Bake until the cheese melts and the crust is baked through.

Grocery stores as well as pizza parlors in New England sell pizza dough and sauce. It's really easy to roll out the dough, splash on a couple tablespoons of sauce, add 2-3 cups of mozzarella cheese to the top and cook at 400' for 20 minutes. If you want the cheese to brown some, broil it for a couple of minutes.
If you can't find a place that sells all of these items, check out allrecipes.com. If you have to make the dough yourself, it's not worth the time and effort. I know Pillsbury sells a pizza dough, but I don't care for it. Ragu sells pizza sauce.
My favorite way is to buy Boboli (sp?) pre-made and pre-cooked crust, Ragu Pizza Quick sauce with pepperoni, and top with any shredded cheese you prefer. Or, there are usually direction on the bags of frozen bread dough for pizza crust.
