Kitty said: Yes.how do you adapt a recipe for 10 people?-I try seach this on internet but no results found.Maybe this is a stupid question.
Mike said: oh,no,you are wrong.I have found as below for this question(how do you adapt a recipe for 10 people?),it will help you,my kids.
Answers:
Depending on what the originaly recipe is designed for, split the ingredients so that you get the amounts needed for one portion and then multiply it by 10. Of course I would make sure you have extra for second helpings!
Other Answers:
That's not as easy as a lot of people will tell you it is. Don't listen to people here who will say, "Just double (or triple or multiply by 5) the ingredients." Anyone who's spent time in a kitchen wrestling with scaling a recipe knows that doesn't work.
So what does? Trial and error, unfortunately - though if you have Julia Child's "Joy of Cooking", I believe she addresses the matter in one of the expository chapters.
If you have to, you could just make, say, X sets of the regular recipe (e.g. if recipe is for 4, make it in 3 sets) - but you'll need a second oven and/or micro with "warmer" setting if you can't prepare simultaneously.
Just try not to sweat it, use your good instincts, and remember that it's all about fun and good company. Bon appetit!
well look to see how much your recipe yeilds then see how much you want to increase or decrease it by, then multiply or divide
