Answers:
make sure they don't have a crack to begin with, start them in cold water, boil for about 15 min on medium heat, make sure the water isn't boiling too high or too low. hope that helps. take care.
Other Answers:
Try putting salt.
usually in minute per egg in boiling water...to play it safe purchace an egg timer Add eggs to cold water, not hot. Then boil as you normally would.
After boiling, pour off the hot water, but then add warm water to start the cooling process...not cold water.
put salt watch them and do them one at a time lol
Add a tsp of salt to the water while it is boiling. have fun coloring them!
Use cold water, make sure the eggs are room temperature. Place the eggs in the cold water and turn the hob ring on, start to time the eggs (3 or 4 mins) at the time the water starts to boil. You can also add salt to the water as this also stops the eggs cracking.I just made mine. Pierce the larger end of the egg with a needle or egg piercer. (you can use an earring if you don't have neither). Bring water to a boil then put eggs in and turn temp. down to simmer for 12 min.s. Then immediately put in cold water so they don't over cook. Piercing the egg allows built up air to go out so the egg doesn't crack.
Bring to a boil, then place eggs in for 12 min.s. Simmer them don't keep it boiling. Mine were perfect, I cracked one to see and it was PERFECT! No cracks either! Oh, this was my first time too. I cooked all 12 at once too.
Place the eggs in boiling water, then time the boiling time. Some like two minute eggs, some like three minute eggs. Add some salt to water
this is what i do.first i check the egg to make sure nothing is wrong with it. next i run some water in the pot(warm or cold water).then i place the egg in the water.once you see a crack in the egg from boiling in the hot water, thats a sign that it is done or its almost finished. after the egg is finished, pour out all the water(leaving the eggs inside)then put a little bit of cold water in the pot so while you take the shell off, your hands wont start to burn.then put whatever you wont on the egg(i put salt and blackpepper on my egg). it should be delicious. ENJOY
salt, and aslo you might try to watch your eggs. If you see bubbles in the water they that means that it will crack. You can't really keep eggs from cracking once in a while. You just have to do it a couple times and next time you won't even have to try to stop it from cracking. You just need experience.Putting cold eggs into hot water will cause them to break, so put them into cold water and then bring the pot to boiling and turn the heat down to just gently boiling.
When I figure they're done, I take the pan to the sink and run cold water into the pan of hot water so that everything cools down gradually.
i find that bringing them to the same temperature of the water before its boiled the perfect solution. Also boiling them on a low flame and rolling the eggs in the pan alittle.
They have never cracked on me like this.
Put eggs in cold water and add 2TB. salt. Bring to boil and take off heat and cover let set for 10 min. Shock in a bowl of ice water. Put them in cold water
Them bring to boil
you can put a litle vinegar in the water , but I dont remember if its for avoiding cracks in the eggs or not to get the pan dark.....
Place eggs in cold water in a glass ,steel,or enamel pot then turn fire on low to medium heat and cook for 1/2 hr. the trick is slow cooking. When done run cold water over eggs to stop cooking process. If you're going to use the eggs right away don't cool them til they're cold, run cold water til you can handle them without getting burned then peel them while still hot the shell remove's easily this way.

Personal experience. Everyone has given you some great suggestions. Definately do not put the eggs in boiling water, put the eggs (preferably room temperate) in salted water then bring to a boil.
Now here's another thing I learned when I was a kid working at a deli. They always put salt and vinegar in the water. I asked why both and they said one helps to keep the eggs from cracking and the other helps to make the eggs peel alittle more easier.
It works for me!
