We have been looking for a way to freeze fresh corn on the cobb, Could some one please help us , Thankyou Pam
Answers:
Cut off the silk end and the stalk end. Remove all but two layers of the shucks. Place in a freezer bag and freeze. When ready to cook remove from freezer and bag if you are going to boil it let it thaw shuck and silk it.
Better yet cook in microwave with shuck in place then silk it.
Other Answers:
blanch it, drain it and then freeze in foodsaver airtight bags.
i don't now
I agree with the road warrior! However, I prefer to go directly from the freezer to the bar-b-que grill! The husk protects the corn(from frezezer burn also) and as it thaws on the grill, the water helps to steam it inside.Yum, Yum, GOOD! BON APPITITE!
