Mike said: oh,no,you are wrong.I have found as below for this question(how do you keep the unused portion of an avocado from turning brown?),it will help you,my kids.
Answers:
Lemon or Lime juice. The acid keeps it from browning.
Other Answers:
try putting lemon juice on it. It works with other fruit so it should with avocados too.
lemon juice...the an air tight container
Leave the pit in and rub cut surface with lemon juice. Cover with plastic wrap etc.
lemon or lime juice depending on what your making with them, and then when its time to warp - be sure to use clear plastic wrap and bring it down close as possible to the finished product... them less air, the less oxidation
I agree with the previous answers as well, also, leave the pit in the unused halves.
Preserve it by putting some lemon juice on it ( fresh is best), and seal in an airtight container, wrapped in glad wrap. It doesn't last long however, it will inevitably start to go brown. You should use it as soon as possible; just cut off the the thin brown layer -- the rest of the avocado is still fine to eat.
Hope that helps!
Everyone is right! Squeeze a little lemon juice on the avocado and keep it in an airtight container until you use the remaining portion. You can also keep the pit in the avocado to help it stay fresher, longer.
This is also a great tip when making guacamole -- add a bit of lemon juice to the mix and keep the pit in the guacamole while serving to keep it beautiful!
yes like all ..lemon juice...however a light coating of olive oil...does just as well.
